Hello there! My name is Alex and I photograph happy people in love. My husband, Sean, and I reside in Charleston, South Carolina, where we continually marvel at this little slice of paradise.

When I’m not behind a camera, I’m probably enjoying a scrumptious cup of iced coffee, catching up with a friend, or making a new dish in the kitchen (confession: it’s probably dessert-related). Our home tends to be filled with the sounds of Otis Redding or Ben Howard, I run daily so that I can continue celebrating my love of tacos, and I’m always up for a road trip or rewatching an episode (or three) of The Office. I never tire of good puns and am completely and utterly dependent on God’s grace.

My sweet man and I have somehow been together for ten years — ten! Sean is not only my amazing partner in life and on wedding

days, but he’s also a brilliantly talented engineer. When he isn't working, you can find him sippin’ a tall glass of sweet tea and reading a book on philosophy from the 19th century (no, really). He laughs at all my jokes and leads our family with wisdom and kindness. I love him.

Throughout my life I've been immensely drawn to people and their stories, and growing up, I got to witness my mom and grandfather’s love of photography, and my great-grandmother’s images hung in our house! In 2012 I photographed my first wedding and knew from that day on, without doubt, that this is what I wanted to do. I’ll be forever thankful for the legacy of my family and that I was encouraged to pursue photography. I still have to pinch myself that this is what I get to do for a living — and with my man right there with me!
