1. Why is an engagement session included with the ATP wedding collection?
An engagement session is part of the process for a few reasons. First, it gives you a chance to see how I work behind the camera and allows me to see how you and your future spouse interact, preparing us both for the wedding day. Second, it allows us to get to know one another, ensuring that we go into your big day like a dream team, and really, with the comfort of friendship. Lastly, I’m a firm believer that you can never have enough photos of you and your person. :)
2. What kind of equipment do you use?
We photograph with a mix of film and digital equipment, and we choose the gear that makes the most sense for the specific part of a wedding day. (And whether it’s film or digital we’re using, we have backups and backups to those backups!)
3. What is it like working with you?
It’s my sincere hope that you find the entire experience in front of my camera to be easy going, comfortable, and fun. When we’re together, I am legitimately your biggest fan! Whether it’s an engagement session or a wedding day, there is a lot of laughter and encouragement — two things that go a long way in making sure your images are incredible.
4. How many images do you deliver from a wedding day?
Every wedding gallery will vary, but my typical delivery comes out to be around 60 images per hour.
5. Do you work with a second photographer?
Absolutely! My film assistant, fantastic second shooter, and dress fluffer extraordinaire is my sweet husband, Sean. I call him “Seanface” (you’re welcome to do that, too!) and we have a great time together, working in sync on the wedding day. (Side note: while Sean is with me for about 95% of weddings, in the few instances that he is unavailable, I have a select number of incredible photographers that I love to work with, and one of those awesome folks will accompany me.)
6. Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! Though I am based in Charleston, I frequently travel throughout the Southeast for wedding days and am available to photograph anywhere in the world.
7. When should we book you for our wedding?
As soon as you can! In order to give every client the best experience possible, my sweet spot for weddings is about 15-20 per year.
