Meeting Carson and Jack felt like nothing less than kismet. Carson was the maid of honor AND officiant at Katie and Michael’s 2021 Lowndes Grove wedding, which I was fortunate enough to photograph. Carson and I hit it off immediately, as I’m certain is the case with most people she meets. As if that wasn’t fabulous enough, I met her boyfriend at the time, Jack, and found out we shared a hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee!

Katie and Michael’s wedding weekend was unforgettable, and I always thought back so fondly of this additional sweet couple I met (Carson and Jack!) who were so clearly meant for one another.

Fast forward a couple of years and I get a text from–you guessed it–Carson, telling me she was engaged! Receiving texts like that out of the blue is one of the best things, ever. I was so excited for this precious couple! Not only did she text the good news, but she was also interested in talking all-things wedding photography. I adored this couple and you could absolutely have knocked me over with a feather!

Fast forward and (spoiler alert!) we had the most wonderful time capturing their engagement session in St. Simons Island, Georgia, a place so near and dear to their hearts.

This engagement session features their precious pup (Murphy), the King & Prince Resort (the place Carson’s grandfather lovingly restored), and a perfectly matched green Moke (unplanned and utterly amazing).
